U 1156 was raised right next to U 1155. They are a pair.

Size: 1.40 m x 1.20 m

The inscription in English:
Rolf and Bahrtr raised this stone in memory of Raskulv.

The eyes are almost square-shaped.
Erik probably attempted to find a technique to get eyes of equal size.

The head and the tongue are short.

The arms of the cross are alright, but the blades are sharp and slightly uneven.

The ring at the centre of the cross is also uneven and rough.

There are both rounded and slanting head staffs.

There are four S-runes, all facing the right way.
The middle-staff of the first S-rune is short. The second one is slightly misshapen: the main staff is too long. The rune resembles the first S-rune on U 1173.
