2024 - The Dragon on the Mountain On an island
in the Stockholm archipelago, Sweden.
Runic inscription:
In honor of the brave
forefathers of the country
My mark/signature is
on the edge of the runestone.
Here it stands on the mountain and
looks out over the sea below. Red granite of the best
quality with deep and safe carving that will be
preserved for many 1000 years.
Details
The dragon's head and foot struggling to
dislodge the snake that locks it in the stone. But the
ornamentation is properly braided, always over and under
every other time, the dragon remains in the stone.
The dragon's paw
pushing away the snake's body.
Over and under is
important, so important that it can force one body to go
through another to get it right.
